Eager crowds of turned out to the Westgate Centre earlier this afternoon.
People gathered in Leiden Square in the shopping centre to see a one off performance from The Osmonds – a New Musical, which will be playing at the New Theatre Oxford later this month.
The cast were joined by real life Osmond brother, Jay Osmond who also performed on a number of songs.
The new musical tells the official story of the Osmonds and their career.
The plot of the show states 'From their star residency on The Andy Williams Show, to the arrival of Donny and Marie, The Osmonds lived a remarkable life recording chart topping albums, selling out vast arena concerts and making record breaking TV shows - until one bad decision cost them everything'.
A number of Osmonds fans turned out to watch the performance and brought memorbilla along with them from the 1970s.
The fans also grabbed pictures with Jay Osmond after the show.
He told the Oxford Mail he performed in Oxford many years ago and loves the "quaintness" of the city.
He added: "Not only is it historical but there is a great spirit here. People are happy, they are productive, they are good people. I just love it."
