A SURLY swan caused a traffic jam when it blocked a bridge over the Thames.
The young swan made its way onto the Swinford toll bridge in Eynsham on Friday, causing traffic to back up.
The bird was helped off the toll bridge - which starts charging motorists this week after months of free passage - by two passers-by who moved it safely away from the moving traffic.

Pictures of the incident were shared in a post on the Spotted Witney Facebook page, where the photographer said the bird “didn't look easy to catch at all”.
The images show two people, a man and a woman, helping to usher the bird to the side of the road.
Despite its escapade on the road, the swan is said to be safe and well.
