Run by family trio, Rajib Paudel, Shyam Sapkota and Hira Sapkota, the restaurant was visited by unannounced inspectors who assessed the site's cleanliness.
After meeting high hygiene standards, the venue was given the rating.
Rajib said that increasing the cleaning regime due to the pandemic has helped them get the best rating.
He said: "We always miss the five-star rating by a tiny margin. This time we worked really hard to get that. Our cleaning is at a really high standard. Since reopening after lockdown, we increased our cleaning regime. We’re sanitising after every customer and have made that our normal cleaning now.

"It’s been really tough, we have to have high standards and we take pride in that."
Rajib said the restaurant took a hit at Christmas as people cancelled bookings when the country went into Plan B restrictions, but he is hopeful things will soon return to normal.
