I can’t wait for an Oxford city centre free of pollution and noise where only electric vehicles are allowed.
The Zero Emission Zone by March will be another Oxford first and a step towards our Zero Carbon future.
More and more electric cars are being manufactured at the BMW car plant and driving on our roads.

By 2030 the Government will ban all sales of new petrol and diesel cars in this country. Electric vans, buses and even some lorries are now taking to our streets.
Oxford was the first city in Britain to have a park and ride, which still operates at Redbridge.

Now we will be the first to create a low carbon, pollution free centre as an example to the world.
