It’s still not clear when the new season of Clarkson's Farm is due but breakout star Kaleb Cooper has sent fans into a frenzy by announcing he has some news to share.

Jeremy Clarkson's farm manager has taken to his official Instagram teasing fans that "exciting things" are on the way.

"Exciting things being announced soon," the Chipping Norton young farmer wrote along with two wide-eye emojis.

While it's unclear exactly what he means, his followers offered a few comical suggestions.

Jeremy Clarkson's daughter Emily quipped: "Only fans? Only farms", referring to a social platform that allows all kinds of original content from creators.

The official Amazon Prime Video account suggested: "Finally releasing that album because this would make a great cover."

In November, just weeks after Kaleb and Mr Clarkson won the Flying the Flag for British Agriculture gong at the British Farming Awards, Kaleb revealed that season two of Clarkson's Farm had officially commenced production.

In an Instagram post shared with his followers, the reality star stood in front of a tractor with the beautiful rolling green hills behind him while a cameraman steadily filmed the action.

"Filming is well underway," Kaleb confirmed in his caption.

"Enjoying every minute of it as well!"

“We’re counting down the minutes til we can see it,” Amazon Prime Video itself commented.

Mr Clarkson hasn’t given us much to work with, although he has confirmed via a video that the series now has two more cast members, a couple of dogs called Sansa and Arya.

Meanwhile on Facebook Diddly Squat has confirmed the reason behind the farm shop's two-month closure.

It said: "For the next couple of weeks, while our roof is being changed, we are very sorry to say, our milk machine won’t be accessible."

A planning report for the restaurant application stated that enforcement investigations by West Oxfordshire District Council are on-going for non-compliance with a condition which said materials used for the roof of the shop needed to be approved by officials before work began.

Council planners wanted a more traditional - and expensive - slate roof fitted that was more in keeping with its Cotswolds surroundings.

But a building contractor apparently unaware of the condition used a green steel sheet roof instead without getting it agreed.

Mr Clarkson lost an appeal to keep the cheaper roof and now appears to be changing the roof.
