A man accused of trying to mug a student outside his college will stand trial in the summer.
Magnus Pitt, 47, pleaded not guilty to assault with intent to rob the student on November 29 last year, and damaging his police station cell and assaulting a police officer on December 1.
He is said to have struck the man in an attempt to get hold of his money then, two days later, flooded his police cell and kicked out at a police officer while being held at the police station.

Appearing before Oxford Crown Court on Monday morning wearing a grey tracksuit, bearded Pitt, of Bedford Street, Oxford, spoke only to confirm his name and not guilty pleas.
Recorder David Mayall granted him bail and fixed the trial for July 27.

Bethan Chichester appeared for Pitt. Prosecutor Cathy Olliver represented the Crown at Monday's hearing.
