POSITIVE cases of coronavirus in Oxfordshire have risen by 1,277 in the latest figures.
Zero deaths were recorded in the county, in the latest statistics, released by the Government.
The new cases were recorded as follows:
• Oxford (323)
• Cherwell (274)
• South Oxfordshire (226)
• Vale of White Horse (263)
• West Oxfordshire (191)
These latest figures mean there has now been a total of 151,652 recorded cases of Covid-19 in the county.
Across the UK, 88,447 new people had a positive test result reported today.
Between January 18 and today, 652,679 people had a confirmed positive test result.
This shows a decrease of 6.8 per cent compared to the previous seven days.
There were 56 deaths in the UK within 28 days of a positive test for coronavirus reported in the latest figures.
Between January 18 and today, there was 1,843 deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test.
This shows a decrease of 0.1 per cent compared to the previous seven days.
The latest vaccination figures reveal that more than 52 million people have been given a first dose, while more than 48 million people have been given a second dose. Almost 37 million people have been given a booster or third dose.
