A FULL moon will light up the January night sky tonight.

This evening we will see the first Full Moon of 2022.

The 'Wolf Moon' will peak at 11.48pm tonight.

The January Full Moon is called the 'Wolf Moon' because villagers used to hear hungry packs of wolves howling at this time of year.

There will be 12 Full Moons in 2022, and tonight's Wolf Moon is the first of the year.

Unfortunately, there is a yellow fog warning in place for Oxfordshire from the Met Office, which may make it trickier to see.

The next full moon in 2022 is the February Snow Moon.

This will take place on Wednesday, February 16. According to the Royal Observatory Greenwich, it will peak at 4.56pm.
