The first episode of Fingerprints, the Ashmolean Museum podcast, will be available on January 21.
The podcast will have a total of six episodes, and will look to tackle some of the most challenging subjects faced by museums today.
Each episode will follow objects over the centuries and how they came to the museum.

The first episode, A place for Questioning, will examine how western museums, including the Ashmolean, are entangled with the history of European Imperialism.
Guests include Xa Sturgis, director of the Ashmolean and Laura van Broekhoeven, director of Tthe Pitt Rivers Museum, among others.
The podcast will realise a new episode each week until February 25.
Listeners will be able to stream or download the series for free.
