POSITIVE cases of coronavirus in Oxfordshire have risen by 2,356 in the latest figures.
Zero deaths were recorded in the county, in the latest statistics, released by the Government.
The new cases were recorded as follows:
• Oxford (498)
• Cherwell (565)
• South Oxfordshire (470)
• Vale of White Horse (452)
• West Oxfordshire (371)
These latest figures mean there has now been a total of 123,182 recorded cases of Covid-19 in the county.
Across the UK, 162,572 new people had a positive test result reported today.
Between Boxing Day and today, 1,092,499 people had a confirmed positive test result.
This shows an increase of 47.9 per cent compared to the previous seven days.
There were 154 deaths in the UK within 28 days of a positive test for coronavirus reported in the latest figures.
Between Boxing Day and today, there was 911 deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test.
This shows an increase of 31.1 per cent compared to the previous seven days.
The latest vaccination figures reveal that more than 51 million people have been given a first dose, while more than 47 million people have been given a second dose. Almost 34 million people have been given a booster or third dose.
