OXFORD has one of the lowest growth rates in average house prices in the country, new data has revealed.
According to figures from Halifax, Oxford is one of 20 ‘coldspots’ in the country with a growth rate of just 1.2 per cent.
Prices rose to an average of £482,893 – marking an increase of £5,808 since 2020.
Across the UK, the average growth rate is 6.2 per cent.

Taunton, in Somerset, had the highest growth rate at a whopping 21.8 per cent – with the average house price increasing by £56,546 over the last year.
Oxford is currently the second least affordable city in the UK, after Winchester.
People within the city need to earn an average salary of £39,220 to live in the city.
