🚨ROYAL MAIL UPDATE🚨
— Layla Moran 🔶 (@LaylaMoran) December 22, 2021
On Monday, I met with senior figures from Royal Mail in our area to ask for an update and explanation of the postal issues that have been facing constituents.
Ms Moran said: "I was very glad that Royal Mail met with me, and I was provided with an explanation of how these issues occurred, and what they are doing to prevent this happening again."
She added: "I’m keeping on top of the situation and urge residents to let me know if it doesn’t improve soon."
Postal delays have also affected people in Blackbird Leys, Headington, Wantage and Summertown this year. Many residents in these areas were angry at the lack of regular postal deliveries, with many citing the missing items and letters as time sensitive and important. Royal Mail apologised for the delays and explained it had been experiencing ‘resourcing issues’.
