A Doctors surgery in Oxford could be the only place in the entire county to get a walk-in Covid booster jab this weekend.
On Friday, The Manor Surgery near the John Radcliffe Hospital in Headington opened to walk-in appointments for the day and the same could happen on Sunday.
Oxford GP Joe McManners, posted on Twitter on Friday announcing that although The Manor Surgery had 750 appointments that day for booster jabs it was able to offer walk-in appointments to the public.
Mr McManners said 1066 people were jabbed on Friday at the surgery, with almost 300 of them being walk-ins. He added that the same is planned for Sunday.

This comes after the Kassam Stadium suspended all walk-in booster appointments. Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust said the only people who will receive walk-in doses are the severely immunosuppressed who have a letter advising of the need for a third primary dose or a booster.
The booster vaccine is now available to everyone over the age of 18, as long as it has been three months since their second dose.
Booster jabs can be booked two months after the second dose.
Booster jabs are now being offered in efforts to tackle the Omicron variant. This comes after early evidence suggested that higher antibody levels may protect better against the variant.
