Across Oxford there are number of restaurants good enough to be featured in the Michelin Guide.
The Michelin Guide, produced by French tyre company Michelin since 1904, awards up to three stars to restaurants of excellent quality.
In Oxford, six restaurants are featured on the Michelin website as being of quality for their food, service, and atmosphere.

These are all the Oxford restaurants featured in the Michelin Guide:
Pompette
7 South Parade, Summertown, Oxford, OX2 7JL, United Kingdom
Pompette is a French restaurant run by husband and wife team Pascal and Laura Wiedemann.
Whilst being classically trained in French cookery, and from French roots, Mr Widermann takes inspiration from across Europe and wants the restaurant to be one of simplicity, comfort and care.
Food at Pompette is described as ‘honest, unfussy and full of flavour’ by the Michelin Guide.
Arbequina
74 Cowley Road, Oxford, OX4 1JB, United Kingdom
Arbequina was opened in 2016 by Ben, Rufus and Ben. The aim was to create tapas style sharing dishes, with explosive and well-married flavours from Spain and beyond.
The team state fhe focus has, and will always be, on quality, unique and well-sourced ingredients.
The Michelin Guide calls Arbequina a ‘simply furnished, bohemian tapas bar’ and says that the menu offers ‘tasty, authentic, filling tapas dishes’.
Bhoomi Kitchen
70 London Road, Oxford, OX3 7PD, United Kingdom
Bhoomi was very recently given a spot in the Michelin Guide.
The Indian restaurant is also the first Indian restaurant from Oxford to make it into the guide.
Owner Michael Raphael said: "It was a dream come true to open a restaurant in a city that I hold very close to my heart. Now for Michelin to recognise the detail in what we do so quickly is a huge honour.”
Bhoomi Kitchen serves food inspired from the south-west state of Kerala, including one pot curry’s, Masala Dosa and Keralan style barbecues.
Oli’s Thai
38 Magdalen Road, Oxford, OX4 1RB, United Kingdom
Michelin calls Oli’s Thai a ‘lovely little restaurant is set off the beaten track’.
They state the menu ‘fresh, meticulously prepared, vibrantly flavoured dishes’.
Oli's Thai was opened in August 2013 by Ladd and Ru Thurston. It is a small 5 table restaurant that offers a weekly changing, seasonal menu.
Oli's has held a Michelin Bib Gourmand for the last four years.
Magdalen Arms
243 Iffley Road, Oxford, OX4 1SJ, United Kingdom
This pub is a spot for both locals and visitors and Michelin believes they come for the ‘lively, easy-going atmosphere’.
Michelin states: “The experienced chef-owner creates gutsy dishes with wide-ranging influences and the menu can change twice a day.”
