An Indian restaurant in Oxford has been awarded a place in the Michelin guide, after being open for only a year.
Bhoomi Kitchen on London Road in Headington is one of only six Oxford restaurants made it into the 2022 guide.
The Indian restaurant is also the first Indian restaurant from Oxford to make it into the guide.

Owner Michael Raphel said: "It was a dream come true to open a restaurant in a city that I hold very close to my heart. Now for Michelin to recognise the detail in what we do so quickly is a huge honour.
“We opened in August 2020 and shortly closed because of a lockdown for 7 months. Due to this, it's been very tricky to build the business.
“Despite all this we have very quickly managed to attract a legion of loyal, regular guests. We have lots installed for 2022 for our guests and we can’t wait for the future."
Bhoomi Kitchen serves food inspired from the south-west state of Kerala, including one pot curries, Masala Dosa and Keralan style barbecues.
Last year, the restaurant defied the challenges of Covid-19 to open.
Mr Raphel told the Oxford Mail at the time that he was “optimistic” about the restaurant’s future.
