Oxfordshire could be in for a White Christmas this year, if the latest predictions from the Met Office are true.
The weather forecaster has predicted that the festive period will see an increased chance of more unsettled and windier weather, with rain, and perhaps snow, possible for some places.
The Met Office defines a White Christmas where one snowflake to be observed falling in the 24 hours of 25 December somewhere in the UK.

Greg Dewhurst, a meteorologist for the Met Office, told the Oxford Mail that temperatures will start to turn colder.
He said: “We have got high pressure building in across the UK at the moment so it looks like for the run up to Christmas it will be settled. As for the quite mild days we have had, it will start to turn colder.
“Temperatures the last few days have been above average and as we go through the rest of this week they will turn colder and turn back to average by the weekend.”
Mr Dewhurst explained that at this time of year Oxfordshire usually sees temperatures of around 8°C but the recent average has been more in the region of 12°C.
He said: “Into the beginning of next week temperature are likely to fall a little bit below average but still stay dry. However, as we head towards the middle of next week, and at the end of the week when we get to Christmas, it looks like it may start to turn a little more unsettled from the West.
“This will bring the increased risk of stronger winds, some rain and, perhaps, a little bit of snow as well.”
Mr Dewhurst emphasised that there are still some uncertainties about the weather but it is expected to become more unsettled and colder towards Christmas and New Year, with temperatures potentially dipping below average.
