Cleaning up after Christmas is no mean task but we've just made it a little easier in Oxford. 

As we count down to Christmas, we can just see all the rubbish starting to pile up from awkward cardboard boxes to discarded wrapping paper and far too many food wrappers.

The nightmare after Christmas comes when you realise that the tip is closed and the rubbish is piling high.

This is why we've put together a list of the recycling centres that are open over the festive period to save you the headache.

Redbridge household waste recycling centre

Where: Old Abingdon Road, Oxford, OX1 4XG

Redbridge closes early on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve and is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

You can recycle artificial Christmas trees at Redbridge and you should check with staff on arrival which container it should be placed in.

For real trees, you can get your natural trees picked up from Wednesday 5 January until Friday 28 January 2022 on your green/brown bin day.
