Oxfordshire has recorded more than 100,000 Covid-19 cases, according to the latest Government figures.

In the latest figures released by the Government 918 new positive cases, taking the total in the county to 100,665.

There were zero deaths recorded in the county. 

In terms of Omicron cases, the South East recorded 2,032 new cases of the variant, up by 958 cases. 

The new cases were recorded as follows:

• Oxford (204)

• Cherwell (215)

• South Oxfordshire (214)

• Vale of White Horse (179)

• West Oxfordshire (106)

Across the UK, 78,610 new people had a positive test result reported today, bringing the national total to 11,010,286.

68,868 people tested positive in England, 5,155 in Scotland, 2,431 in Wales and 2,156 in Northern Ireland.

Today 165 new deaths were recorded today of people who died within 28 days of their first positive Covid-19 test.

The latest vaccination figures reveal that more than 51 million people have been given a first dose, while nearly 47 million people have been given a second dose.

Nearly 25 million people have been given a booster jab.
