Face masks will become mandatory for shoppers to wear from Monday, so we headed into Oxford’s busiest shopping centre to find out just how many people are wearing them.
Because people were out Christmas shopping the Westgate was busy for a Thursday morning.
We started to count the number of people wearing masks, but as so many people were wearing them, we lost count.

The majority of people were wearing masks in the shopping centre, but some people did have their masks on their chin. Only a handful of people were shopping without a mask.
Boris Johnson has advised people to work from home and has made mask wearing mandatory for most public indoor areas, such as shops, cinemas and theatres starting from Monday.
The NHS Covid pass will also be mandatory to access indoor and outdoor venues where large crowds gather.
