Team leader Sandy Butler said they received loads of toy donations from people in the community.
She said: “The start of it was quite slow, and then when we got a few little bits in, it just sort of kicked off, and we’ve been shocked by the amount of toys we have collected. It’s been amazing.”
The fifty-year-old Christmas organiser said they gained a massive boost thanks to their Thursday night quiz team, through which they managed to raise £156.
Sandy added: “Everybody thinks it’s an really amazing idea, and people who are less fortunate do need it.”
