TWO people from the University of Oxford have tested positive for Covid-19 - it is suspected they have the Omicron variant.

The cases are both in the same college and are linked. 

The individuals are now isolating in line with the government guidance.
Close contacts of the two individuals contacts have been notified and are also being asked to isolate.

The University is now working closely with public health authorities and following their advice.

It comes a day after the first case of Omicron was confirmed in Oxfordshire.
