A WOMAN was bitten on the arm by a dog while walking her pet in Harwell.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the 39-year-old victim was attacked at around 3.50pm on Thursday, November 25.
The woman was walking her black Labrador around Harwell playing fields when she stopped to speak with another dog owner who had a small, grey whippet or greyhound called Ned.
As the victim started to walk away, Ned was said to have become aggressive towards her dog.
As she bent down to adjust her pet's lead, Ned allegedly bit her on the arm.
The accused dog then ran off, followed by his owner, who didn't leave any details, police said.
Ned's owner is described as a white woman, around 50 years old with brown hair.
Police said that while the bite didn't puncture the victim's skin, it did cause bruising with the woman treated at Abingdon minor injuries where she has since been discharged.
Investigating officer PC Mark Russell, based at Didcot police station, said : “We are appealing for any witnesses that may have seen the incident or know the details of the dog’s owner to come forward.
“Or if this was your dog then please get in touch with us.
