A MAN has his jaw broken in a vicious attack outside of the Slug and Lettuce in Oxford.
At around 3.20am on Saturday morning, a man was walking up New Road, towards the city centre, with his partner.
He started having a conversation with a stranger at the back entrance of the bar and the next thing his partner saw was him lying on the floor and bleeding from the face.
He was raced to the John Radcliffe Hospital and had surgery for a broken jaw.
The man has been discharged but in the last few days has lost all of his memory.
Detective Sergeant Tom Mansfield, based at Oxford police station, said: “We know from CCTV footage that there were a number of people in the immediate area and that people continued to come up to the victim afterwards.
“We are seeking to find out whether anyone witnessed the assault or has any information about what happened.
“You can get in touch by either making a report online or by calling 101 quoting reference number 43210525042."
