An Oxford hotel which has been shut down by the police over ‘brothel’ concerns has been blasted by reviewers as ‘pure filth’.
The All Seasons Guesthouse on Windmill Road, opposite the Headington Conservative Club, was shut down for three months on Monday using a closure order.
On Tripadvisor the guest house describes itself as an ‘ideal mix of value, comfort and convenience’.
Reviewsers, on the other hand, see it very differently.

The hotel currently has two stars on Tripadvisor (out of a possible five) and it is ranked 46th out of 48 hotels in the city.
The All Seasons has 67 one star ('terrible') reviews compred with just nine ('excellent') reviews, making exactly half of all the hotel's reviews 'terrible' ones.
One reviewer, going by the username Cjd, wrote in capital letters: “THIS HOTEL IS PURE FILTH”.
Cjd explained the hotel room was “extremely cold and dirty” and the owner refused to issue a refund when they urgently had to leave.
They said: “I do not recommend this hotel for anyone!”
John Dohnlos called All Seasons Guest House “overpriced and filthy” and said their room was “awful”, “dimly lit” and had “mould on the walls”.
Josie Jones referred to their stay an “experience” and said the hotel was “totally fraudulent advertising”.
They said the carpet on the stairs was “shabby” and “dirty” while in the bathroom “long black hairs” were all over the floor. The room’s towels were described as “hard as boards”.
Josie did note, however, the beds were comfortable and clean.
Clare F wrote the sheets and towels were clean and there was limited tea/coffee making facilities.
However, the pleasantries stopped their and Clare also said: “The premises was far from clean, cobwebs and layers of dust could be observed everywhere.
“The rooms are tiny, furniture is dated, walls were marked, and the place requires a complete renovation.
“The owner is not pleasant to deal with. We did not have breakfast although it was paid for, did not want to risk it. It was expensive to stay here.”

Another reviewer, using the name Jon B, called the All Seasons the “worst hotel”.
They said: “It is the dirtiest building I’ve ever stayed in. Mud in the bath tub. Every piece of metal in the room had rust. Spider webs everywhere. Dirty bed sheets. Staff had a horrible attitude. Wouldn’t stay again under any circumstances.”
The guest house is under a closure order until February, which stops anybody who does not live in the property (as well as council officials and emergency service workers) from entering.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “The behaviour of those involved was causing a significant impact on the community resulting in distress and fear to local residents.
“Whilst we have a 3-month Closure Order we intend to work with partner agencies and make sure that any potential victims of crime are safeguarded and offered appropriate support and care.”
