PEOPLE can get free advice on how to protect themselves from scams this week in Oxford.
Thames Valley Police is hosting a cyber security talk at Oxford Town Hall on Thursday.

The session, which starts at 2pm, lasts for one hour and there will be 30 minutes at the end for questions.
It is based on advice from the UK National Cyber Security Centre on securing laptops, smartphones and other devices.
This includes creating strong passwords, shopping securely online and reporting suspicious emails.
Cyber protect officer Mark Godsland, who runs information sessions across the Thames Valley, will lead the event
