HIGH-SPEED winds swept across a village yesterday, damaging properties and cars.
Louie Bass, who lives in Tackley, said a 'tornado' hit the village leaving cars 'smashed up' and fallen trees.

He said: "Loads of trees have fallen and cars smashed up. I’ve never seen anything like it round here. I was asleep in my caravan when it went right overhead, but my back garden is torn to pieces."
Elsewhere in the county, a huge tree branch caused queues on Botley Road in Oxford after falling.
The branch fell from a tree outside the Beaumont Veterinary Group.
The two people living in the house managed to escape the room they were in and were assessed by medically trained firefighters as they were suffering from shock.
Cladding panels at high-rise flats in Oxford fell off during severe winds.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service reported that a crew from Abingdon Fire Station was called to Evenlode Tower in Blackbird Leys at about 9.30am yesterday to reports of large cladding panels hanging from the building.
