CLADDING panels at high-rise flats in Oxford have fallen off during severe winds.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service reported that a crew from Abingdon Fire Station was called to Evenlode Tower in Blackbird Leys at approximately 9.30am this morning to reports of large cladding panels hanging from the building.
Panels near the sixth and 11th floors had been dislodged by the high winds and were in danger of falling off.

Several panels had already come away from the building.
The area was cordoned off, with Thames Valley Police and Oxfordshire County Council now in the process of arranging emergency repairs.
The fire service said the high winds and rain had caused problems across Oxfordshire, with fire crews sent to a range of weather-related incidents.
