A MAN was fined almost £2,000 for breaking coronavirus rules.
Ioan Buta, 29, of Sugworth Lane, Abingdon, arrived in the UK from Romania – a country that was on the quarantine list – on March 3, but failed to self-isolate.

He continued to leave his house on a daily basis.
At Oxford Magistrates' Court on August 20, Buta was fined £1,760, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £120 and pay costs of £85, meaning he must pay a total of £1,965.
