POLICE have confirmed that none of the stabbings that have taken place in Oxford over the past two weeks are linked.

Superintendent Bruce Riddell, local policing area commander for Oxford, said: “I would like to reassure the public that none of the recent knife-related incidents in the city are linked, and to that extent, they are all isolated occurrences."

The most recent incident happened last night in Greater Leys when a man in his 30s was left with stab wounds.

He was raced to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A man in his thirties was stabbed to death in Pinnocks Way in Botley on Sunday night.

A 33-year-old man, who is from Oxfordshire, was arrested on suspicion of murder. 

On October 8 in Bayswater Road a man in his thirties suffered stab wounds and died at the scene.
