A man has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a man in Barton on Friday night.
Lewis Brown, aged 20, of Barton Village Road, Oxford, was charged with one count of murder and one count of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
The charges are in connection with an incident on Friday evening in Bayswater Road when a man aged in his thirties suffered stab wounds and died at the scene.
Although formal identification of the victim has not yet taken place, his family are aware and are being supported by specially trained officers.
Brown remains in custody and will appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning.
