STUDENTS were able to make it to an Oxfordshire school this morning following fears that bus services would be impacted.
Lord Williams’s School posted online yesterday evening to report that two bus services to the Thame school faced potential problems.
The 2706 and 2707 routes were set to be cancelled today, however Vale Travel, which runs the services, was able to secure fuel last night.
Good morning everyone.

We have secured fuel last night allowing us to run all school service with the exception of Occ ED3008 due to lack of fuel.
A spokesperson for Vale Travel told the Oxford Mail: “There’s a lot of work going on behind the scenes, a lot of cat and mouse, to make sure kids are able to get to school in a safe and timely manner.
“The last thing we want is kids waiting on the side of the road as it can be very dangerous for them.”
Before Vale Travel came to the rescue, Lord Williams’s said there was ‘a very high likelihood’ services would be unable to run today.
Parents were advised to make alternative arrangements to get their children to and from school.
The online statement read: “County advise that students do go to their usual bus stops in the morning but that, if the bus has not arrived after 15 minutes, they return home and use an alternative method to come to school.
“If you do have to bring your child(ren) by car, please can we ask that you drop them off a short distance away, to avoid congestion around the school sites, and allow them to walk the final stretch to school.
“Clearly we hope that this is a short-term problem, and that it does not spread to any other bus routes.”
