A man was made to pay a court bill of more than £2,000 for breaching Covid-19 restrictions at a Tesco petrol station.
Tommy Andrew Holmes, 20, of Saunders Road, Oxford was made to pay a total court bill of £2,026.
Mr Holmes was handed the bill after participating in an indoor gathering on November 23 2020 at the Tesco Petrol Station on Oxford Retail Park.
He participated in this gathering which consisted of two or more people without a reasonable excuse, other than as permitted by the Covid-19 regulations at the time.
During the time of the offence, the country was in a four week ‘circuit breaker’ lockdown which meant people were unable to meet indoors and both pubs and non-essential shops were closed.
Mr Holmes was fined £1,760 with a £176 added surcharge to fund victim services and costs of £90, bringing the total to £2,026.
