Oxford band Foals have announced their keyboardist Edwin Congreave has quit the band.
According to a statement released by Foals today, Congreave will begin a postgraduate degree in economics at Cambridge next month as he hopes to help tackle climate change.
It follows the departure of bassist Walter Gervers, who left in 2018 after 12 years in the band.
A statement from Congreave posted on Twitter reads:
I hope in the next couple of years join others in technical efforts to mitigate the imminent climate catastrophe.
I'm thrilled to once again be able to watch the UK's best live band from their best angle - that is, I mean, from the crowd. See you there.
Foals have revealed that Congreave's last gig was the All Points East festival in London, which was on August 30th.
In a statement, the band said that they have already started to write music as a trio.
