Drivers are being warned to expect major delays today as Oxford is gridlocked due to serval road works and closures.
A road closure for works at Park End Street on Frideswide Square after the train station is causing delays for drivers heading into the city centre.

Drivers have been advised to follow local diversions along Osney Lane as city-bound traffic builds up along the length of Botley Road.
Traffic is also building up near the Hinksey Hill interchange due to lane closures on the A423 in both directions in Kennington. This is due to Thames Water works in the area.

Temporary lights are also in place for Thames Water on Thames Street in Oxford and drivers have been warned to expect slow traffic.
Some bus services have been diverted including Stagecoach’s S8 Wantage to Oxford service which will now be unable to stop at Lodge Hill Garage, Sugworth Lane, Bagley wood and Hinksey Hill.
