HMV will open its new Oxford store on Friday, it has been revealed.
The shop, which will be located in the former Gap store in the Clarendon Centre, will open at 9am.
The 9,000 sq ft store will offer 16,000 products over two floors, with an entire floor dedicated to 5,000 different vinyl records.
In addition to vinyl, the store will also stock 5,000 different CDs, 3,000 films and TV shows on DVD and 4K HD Blu-ray, as well as 3,000 pop culture products.
There will also be a new HMV delivery service, allowing customers to order any item not in store direct to their door.
HMV, which had a store in Cornmarket Street until it closed in 2014, is creating 15 jobs through the new store.
The first 100 customers to make a purchase on Friday will receive a free ‘pop culture swag bag’.
The store’s opening hours will be: Monday-Saturday (9am-6pm) and Sunday (11am-5pm).
