THERE were 271 new Covid-19 cases recorded in Oxfordshire yesterday and zero deaths, according to the latest Government figures.
A rise from the 65 cases recorded on Saturday, the rate of infection in Oxfordshire stands at 353.4 per 100,000 people.

Oxford – 48
South Oxfordshire – 55
Cherwell – 75
West Oxfordshire – 36
Vale of White Horse – 57
The total number of coronavirus cases in Oxfordshire since the pandemic started are:
Oxford - 16,185
Oxfordshire - 58,126
The latest data at healthcare trust level reveals six people were admitted to Oxford University Hospitals with Covid on September 5.

The latest data shows there were two deaths in Oxfordshire from August 21 to August 27 and a total of 1,113 Covid deaths in the county have been recorded up to August 17.
The UK has recorded a further 56 deaths within 28 days of a positive test for coronavirus reported yesterday
Between September 6 and 12, there have been 971 deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test.
This shows an increase of 22.6 per cent compared to the previous seven days.
A total of 1,037,491 vaccinations have been given in Oxfordshire, with 542,647 first doses and 494,844 second doses as of Saturday.
