OVER 30,000 meals across the city have been saved from going to waste in the past year.
Last year Tesco became the first supermarket to partner with OLIO, an app that provides unsold surplus food for people in the community to consume.
The supermarket giant paired up with the app as part of their FareShare initiative that supplies food parcels to those facing food insecurity.

Over the past year, 39,456 meals have been saved from going in the bin in Oxford.
OLIO, which has been running since 2016, has provided more than 120 million meals to charities and community groups across the UK, with more than 5 million coming from Tesco.
