Two arrests have been made after a man was punched unconscious at a pub near Oxfordshire.
Police were called to the serious assault at Kingsbridge Public House in Bourton on the Water on Saturday night after it was reported that a man had been punched and fallen unconscious in a fight.
Paramedics attended the incident and took the man to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with suspected head injuries.
He remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A 52-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a 50-year-old woman from London was arrested on suspicion of public order offences. Both remain in police custody for questioning.
Police say that a number of people were at the pub at the time and investigating officers are asking anyone who hasn't already spoken to police to get in contact by calling police on 101.
