Purrfect snaps of pet cats and dogs were sent in for this week's animal themed Camera Club competition.

Oxfordshire photographers captured adorable pictures of pets and wildlife, from owners cuddling up with their pets to spectacular snaps from the zoo.

Thursday was international dog day and people all over the world took to social media to share stories, photos and videos of their canine companions and Camera Club members also sent in plenty of dog snaps.

However, one cute animal snap by Adrian Whareham stood out. His stunning black and white picture of two cuddling Otters at Cotswold Wildlife Park is this week's winning snap.

Next week's competition theme is 'family', post your pictures to the Oxford Mail Camera Club facebook page to enter. If you are lucky your snap could feature in next week's paper.
