Westgate Oxford is welcoming Japanese-influenced lifestyle store Miniso, with a 18,00 sq ft unit opening over the Bank Holiday weekend.
This will be the brand’s fifth UK store, joining those in Cardiff, London, Brighton, and Cambridge. About 15 new jobs are being created.
Japanese clothing chain Uniqlo was a flagship store when the £440m Westgate Centre opened in 2017.
Miniso sells products across a number of departments including tech, toys, fashion, stationery, home and beauty.

It has exclusive partnerships with some of the world’s best-loved brands, including Marvel, Disney and We Bare Bears.
Miniso's 'motto' is 'a better life has nothing to do with the price.'
Brendan Hattam, centre director at Westgate Oxford, said: “At Westgate Oxford, we strive to offer our guests the best possible shopping experience and we’re delighted to welcome such an innovative brand as Miniso.
“With the strong student community in Oxford, affordable lifestyle products have always been popular with our guests and the arrival of this new store will significantly enhance our offering.”
Saad Usman, finance & operations Director at Miniso UK, added: "We're delighted to announce the launch of our fifth UK store, in Westgate Oxford. "We believe that the opening of this store in the heart of Oxfordshire is the perfect next step on our journey to have a nation-wide presence.
“We’re committed to contributing to getting the nation restarted after what has been a challenging time for everyone, not only with the investment into our brand new store, but also the creation of 10-15 new jobs in the local market.
“With innovative and exciting products that are high-quality and great value-for-money, we are pleased to now be welcoming customers of all ages through our doors when we open later this month."
Westgate Oxford is open from 10am-8pm Monday-Friday, 9am-8pm on Saturdays and 11am-5pm on Sundays.
