Crews from three fire stations worked hard for several hours last night to bring a field fire under control.
Chipping Norton Fire Station crew along with crews from Moreton and Stow were mobilised at just after 7pm to reports of a large vehicle on fire.
They found a combine harvester well alight in a field and threatening surrounding crops.
Crews used breathing apparatus and hose reels to tackle the fire and managed to stop it spreading across the entire field.
The incident occurred at a farm on the A44, near the Greedy Goose pub.
