OXFORD'S affordability was revealed this week as not being the best when it comes to buying property.

We all know houses in the city don't come cheap, but have you ever wondered exactly how low some house prices can be?
Here's a round-up of the 10 cheapest houses currently up for sale in Oxford on property site Zoopla for £300,000 and under:
1. Two-bedroom mid-terraced house in Littlemore - £230,000
This property will be sold by online auction on Friday, August 27 with bidding opening at 10am.
The house needs some minor structural repairs.
2. Two-bedroom terraced house in Greater Leys - £260,000
This property is ready to move straight into with no onward chain.
3. Three-bedroom property for sale in Druce Way - £265,000
This house has been recently decorated throughout.
4. Three-bedroom terraced house in Blackbird Leys - £270,000
This property, which has driveway parking, has a single story extension to the rear offering living space and a private garden.
5. Three-bedroom semi-detached house in Headington - £275,000
This property has no onward chain. It has a conservatory but is in need of modernisation.
6. Two-bedroom terraced house in Green Hill - £279,995
This house has a garden and garage and the lounge/diner has sliding doors opening into a fully glazed conservatory which has French doors opening into the rear garden.
7. Two-bedroom end terrace house for sale in Shepherds Hill - £280,000
This property is said to feel quite private as trees are surround each side of the drive way. It has a conservatory.
