POSITIVE cases of coronavirus in Oxfordshire have risen by 222 in the latest figures.
On Saturday, 247 new cases were recorded.
Zero deaths were reported in the county in the latest statistics, released by the Government.
The new cases were recorded as follows:
- Oxford (61)
- Cherwell (55)
- South Oxfordshire (43)
- Vale of White Horse (37)
- West Oxfordshire (26)
These latest figures mean there has now been a total of 47,449 recorded cases of Covid-19 in the county.
Across the UK, 27,429 new people had a confirmed positive test result reported today, adding to the 28,612 reported on Saturday.
Between August 2 and today, 191,019 people had a confirmed positive test result.
This shows an increase of 1.9 per cent compared to the previous seven days.
There were 39 deaths in the UK within 28 days of a positive test for coronavirus reported in the latest figures, adding to the 103 deaths recorded on Saturday.
Between August 2 and today, there has been 601 deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test.
This shows an increase of 14.5 per cent compared to the previous seven days.
The latest vaccination figures reveal that more than 47 million people have been given a first dose, while almost 39 and a half million people have been given a second dose.
