POLICE rushed to help a man who was trying to take his own life.
Officers from Witney and paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust were called to the scene of the incident in Yarnton on Wednesday.
They treated the man and he was rushed to hospital.

In a statement to the public, police confirmed that the quick work by all on scene helped save the man's life.
A number of residents touched by the story praised emergency services workers for saving the man and wished him a quick recovery.
