An inquest into the death of a girl who drowned at a Witney lake will be held in November.
Nicole Sanders, 13, died on July 18 after getting into difficulty at Ducklington Lake, Witney, Oxford Coroner’s Court heard this week.
She died at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, having been rescued from the lake.
Senior coroner Darren Salter gave the cause of Miss Sanders’ death as cardiopulmonary arrest and drowning.
The matter was adjourned for a full inquest on November 18.
Paying tribute to her daughter last week, mum Amanda Holmes told the BBC: "Niki was so sassy, she had a wicked sense of humour. She would do anything to help any of us, was absolutely brilliant with her younger siblings and was a good friend."
