The 'devastated' family of a man who died after being involved in an assault in Oxford say he will 'never be forgotten'.
Conrad Welch, 63, passed away on June 19.
Mr Welch was involved in an incident of assault in Ship Street, Oxford, on June 11.
He was taken to hospital, but later died.
His family said: “Our family are devastated and heartbroken at the shocking loss of Conrad. We do not know how the family is going to get over this.
“He was a very loving, caring, responsible father, grandad , brother, uncle to many, who would go the extra mile to help others especially family and friends. We never got the chance to say goodbye, unspoken words you’ve left behind, undone things we’ll never do, no sharing thoughts you never knew.
“We know you will be safe with Mum, Dad and your two older sisters and although gone you will never be forgotten we promise to cherish our memories of you.”
Four men have been arrested on suspicion of murder as part of an investigation into the death of Mr Welch.
