The bar, based at 43 Iffley Road in Oxford, has now opened its doors for socially-distanced tea parties, cocktails and karaoke nights.
Hygiene inspectors from Oxford City Council visited the bar on June 3 and gave it a five star rating.
The bar scored 'very good' for its food hygiene and safety, 'good' for the category of structural compliance and 'high' for confidence in management.

This is not the first time the bar has scored highly in its food hygiene rating, with the venue scoring top marks in every inspection since 2017.
Live music has returned to the themed bar as well as new shows, karaoke and food service.
The venue serves afternoon tea full of sandwiches, pastries and scones made 'tipsy' with a teapot of cocktail, as well as pizzas and burgers from their new menu, which launched in May. It also offers takeaway food so you can enjoy a tipsy tea party at home.
The Mad Hatter has also announced that it is 'thrilled' to welcome back its Drag Queen Bingo night on July 9.
Google reviewers have also been singing the praises of the bar, which has an average rating of 4.5 stars.
One happy customer left a positive Google review after visiting the bar, writing: "Quaint bar with lots of character. A bit snug but definitely worth visiting as they have a thoughtfully curated event list all week long.
"Great drink selection that speak to the wonderland they are trying to create. Staff are pleasant and funny too if you get to speak to them. All round good vibes, which makes it such a pity that it is located so far away in Cowley."
Another customer wrote a review two weeks ago and said: "Incredible. Had no idea what to expect, was thoroughly impressed. Arrived at the 10pm booking slot and they had a live jazz band playing. Definitely worth a visit."
One customer gave the bar five stars and said: "Hidden gem. Really fun night in a fabulously quirky bar, cocktails were delicious and made quickly and very well."
