STRAWBERRY picking season is well underway and there are farms around Oxfordshire that are welcoming people to pick their own.

Here's a list of all the places where you can pick the juicy summer fruit:

Rectory Farm - Stanton St. John

Open everyday until October to pick strawberries as well as other fruit and vegetables.

If you visit between 9.30am and 11.30am on a weekday and pick 1.4kg of fresh fruit, you can get a free coffee, tea or milkshake at the cafe.

Millets Farm - Abingdon

Tickets are released online at regular intervals during the picking season to ensure there is sufficient fruit available for everyone to enjoy.

It is £1.50 per person and  £7 for a cardboard punnet and £12 for a large round tub.

Raspberries can also be picked.

Medley Manor Farm - Oxford

Open everyday for strawberry picking from 9.30am to 7pm. You can also pick asparagus on Thursdays from 12pm to 6.30pm.

Q Gardens - Milton Hill, Steventon

Open everyday from 10am to 5pm with last entry at 4.45pm. Opening is also subject to weather and fruit availability so people are advised to check the website for updates at qgardensfarmshop.co.uk/pyo

Punnets are £5.50 each and the strawberry varieties that can be picked are the Malling Centenary and Sonata.

People are advised not to bring big family groups with them due to Covid restrictions.

Peach Croft Farm in Abingdon are not currently offering strawberry picking, but are open to the public who wish to visit.
