AN Oxfordshire County Council cabinet member has resigned from his post.
Damian Haywood, the cabinet member for public health and equalities, resigned his role last week.
His webpage on the council website no longer lists his cabinet post, only his role as a ward councillor for Iffley Fields and St Mary's.
An Oxfordshire County Council spokesman said: "The council has been informed that Cllr Damian Haywood has with great regret resigned from the position of public health and equalities cabinet member with immediate effect.
"An announcement will be made about a replacement as soon as an appointment has been made."
It is understood a complaint against Mr Haywood by a member of the public is being investigated, and the Labour councillor plans to make a statement about his resignation once this has been resolved.
