A CYCLIST was knocked off his bike in Oxford during rush hour this morning.
Members of the public and police from a nearby riot van rushed to help the man who was seen lying in the middle of the street.
The incident happened on St Aldate's just after 9am.

One eyewitness confirmed that this was not a hit-and-run.
They added: "The car appeared to be turning right from Speedwell Street into St Aldate's when it struck the male cyclist, who was on a drop handler racing bike."
Photographs from the scene show a paramedic kneeling down to assist the victim and an ambulance arriving.
